Samsung on Tuesday introduced its second smartphone, which includes a folding screen. The Z Flip is different from the Galaxy Fold, which was only recently launched in the country and features a tablet-sized screen alongside heavy weight.

In Z Flip the idea is mobility and style. It's a smartphone in an oyster structure, much like the phones we used to hang out with. The Z Flip weighs 183 grams when it opens, the screen doubles and comes in at 6.7 inches, which is convenient to work with, browse the web or watch movies.

The beauty of the Z Flip is in its folded state. While this design only gets a minimal display of 1.1 inches for an identified call and watch on the outside, in this configuration, the smartphone is compact when pocketed or hand-held. When desired, open the device and receive a large screen similar to standard models.

The screen has folding technology and Full HD Plus resolution, less than the S20, with the high-resolution Quad HD. Samsung notes that it uses the Z Flip screen with technology it has developed - Ultra Thin Glass or UTG to offer as much screen space as possible.

This device has no flaw, just a small dot at the top of the display for the selfie camera (10 megapixel sensor). The screen itself is long and narrow in 21.9: 19 format.

The Z Flip should not have problems with its folding axis, as the Galaxy Fold suffered in the first launch round (even before the company returned some improvements). The hinge is hidden under the screen, including a dual folding mechanism, which should ensure smooth folding of the smartphone and also prevent dust and dirt from entering it.

The Z Flip's special structure basically creates a two-inch 4-inch connection. In standby mode, the smartphone automatically splits into two screens. In this situation you can see a YouTube video at the top, while at the bottom you can search for other videos. Samsung worked with Google to design the dual-screen interface, which also allows two different apps to be displayed simultaneously.

The camera on the back of the Z Flip comes with two 12-megapixel sensors, one with an optical image stabilizer. The 8-gigabyte smartphone working memory with 256 gigabytes of storage. The battery comes at a capacity of 3300 m / h. This device has wireless charging as well as reverse charging capability.

The Z Flip will be launched on February 14 in the US and South Korea with a limited number of units, only after it will reach a limited number of countries. Its price in the country will be NIS 5,600.

Samsung Announces Galaxy Series 20S: Enhanced Screen, Powerful Battery and Dual Zoom

Samsung also announced today the new Galaxy 20S series, as it celebrates 10 years to launch the first model. Samsung introduced three new smartphones: the S20 Ultra, 20S Plus and 20S.

As far as Samsung is concerned, the emphasis is on mobile generation 5, which will for the first time be available in all new versions. Israel will accept the new devices without generation 5 capabilities, since it is inactive in the country. The company notes that while in 2019, the fifth-generation penetration reached only 1% of the global market, by 2020 it is already estimated at 18%.

In addition, Samsung has announced, working with Google, to improve the video calling capabilities of the Duo app so that they can be played at Full HD resolution.

The 20S series will be launched in Israel on March 5, with the early sale starting today through the official importer Sunny at NIS 99 for the pre-registration.

First-time buyers will receive the new Galaxy Buds Plus cordless headset and a 128 Gigabyte memory card. The price of the 20 S will be NIS 3,500, the 20 S plus NIS 3,900 and the Ultra NIS 4,800.

The more elaborate and more expensive flagship model in the series is the Ultra, which features a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 1400 by 3200 pixel screen with HDR 10 Plus support and an impressive 120 Hz image refresh rate, which will only be available in Full HD and Quad HD modes.

The Ultra comes with a 90.6% screen body ratio, the Gorilla Glass 6 glass and the weight stands at 220 grams. The processor is Samsung Exynos 990 with 12 or 16 Gig working memory and 128, 256 or 512 Gig storage.

The fingerprint mechanism will be under the screen with ultrasonic technology. The battery is impressive at 5000 millimeters / hour with a fast charge of 45 watts. The ultra will also include fast wireless charging and the option of reverse wireless charging for charging other devices.

The ultrasound's back has 4 sensors for the new camera: 108-megapixel with optical image stabilizer, 48-megapixel telephoto sensor with optical stabilizer and 10-inch optical zoom, 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor (120 degrees) and depth sensor (ToF). The selfie camera - 40 megapixel sensor.

As mentioned, the optical zoom is twice 10, but Samsung notes that it incorporates Spice Zoom technology. It is capable of making hybrid zoom (a combination of optical and digital) multiplied by 100 using artificial intelligence. Because the Ultra includes several sensors for different photo angles, Samsung allows single-click mode in single-take mode to get multiple pictures from all angles.

The video shoot is very high resolution 8K. Samsung offers the option to stream the clips that were filmed on the new smartphone directly to its supporting televisions or upload to YouTube. You can also take a 33 megapixel still image directly from an 8K video.

Other video enhancements are image stabilizer and also an option for Hyper Laps photo mode at night (a situation where the video takes a single single picture every few seconds and creates a fast video).

A nice option for listening to music that is available in all new models is the ability for 5 people to listen to music from one device, using a Bluetooth headset.
