A third suspect was charged and placed in pre-trial detention after the brutal murder of an 18-year-old prostitute in Montpellier on February 9, reveals the Midi Libre.
Driss, 25 years old, is a Biterrois nicknamed the "Clando". Knowing that he was wanted by the criminal brigade of the SRPJ in Montpellier, he went to the court.
Alaïs R. had been found unconscious during the night of February 9 to 10, bathed in his blood, in an apartment near the Place de la Comédie. Wounded with knives, punches, kicks, but also strangled, the young woman did not survive her injuries.
Victim wanted to distance himself
Originally from Seine-et-Marne, Alaïs R. had moved to Montpellier a few weeks earlier with two friends. The three prostitutes had placed ads on specialized sites, and quickly attracted a large clientele.
It is probably because she wanted to distance herself from her former pimp, Quentin R., that she would have been killed, in an apartment that she had rented for a few days on a platform dedicated to seasonal rentals.
They risk life
Quentin R., already convicted 15 times in particular for violence and death threats, admitted in police custody that he had attacked the young prostitute to recover money.
The 28-year-old man spoke of an organized prostitution network between Seine-et-Marne, Béziers and Montpellier. He denied wanting to kill the young woman.
