The musical is expected to go up by the end of the year, will include her own songs, but will not deal with her life story. A source close to the filmmaker says that the musical will tell the story of a young girl who is dragged into a bad culture, entering a youth shelter, and there selling a bunch of children who are rebuilt with the help of music and dance. Roles for the musical have not yet been cast, except for Rinat Gabay, wife of entrepreneur and musical producer Doron Moore, who will play the girl's mother. The mother figure will be "ore-inspired," the filmmaker said.
Doron Moore confirmed the details, and told Walla! Culture: "These days, a new musical is being written based on the songs of Ofra Haza."
