A new mechanism lacks a "crease" and a screen that simply can't take your eyes off: The leak on TCL's new device makes us wonder how they didn't create a folding device in a similar concept. She may not be a recognized manufacturer in the world, but it may be the device that puts her on the map

Folding smartphones are just the beginning: new images reveal that the TCL mobile maker is about to introduce a new concept device that is completely different from anything we've seen before. According to the images, published on the CNET technology site, the new device will have a convex screen, similar to most flagship devices. However, if you pull the screen, just like the special pens that have a card, the smartphone will become a full-size tablet. That is, the device will be made up of a pair of screens just like the other folding devices on the market, but the second screen will only be revealed after the user attempts to pull the edge of the first screen. And although the data on the device itself is rather meager, the images leave almost nothing to the imagination.

Also, the leaks did not specify further details on the secondary screen, however, a factor that spoke to CNET claimed the screen would open "continuously". Or, as mentioned earlier, the second screen will open by pulling the main screen, similar to the way a dining table extension opens. Another thing that makes it stand out is the way its mechanism works. Today, folding devices use a mechanism that creates a "crease in the screen", which may seem like the only way to do this, but in practice this can cause serious material problems, especially if the device is exposed to dust and sand. In contrast, the TCL smartphone mechanism does not display screen folding or any "crease" and therefore may be more reliable than its category competitors.

TCL's folding smartphone was supposed to be unveiled during the world's largest Mobile Exhibition, held annually in Barcelona, but since the exhibition was canceled following the spread of the Corona virus, it is still unclear when exactly the Chinese manufacturer will unveil the new device. Chinese manufacturer TCL has not really reached the general public and is considered to be at least recognized in the Western world. However, a device similar to what was revealed in the leak may be the one that put it on the map. By comparison, the new Samsung and Motorola folding smartphones were launched recently and have already been able to absorb network reports of problems with their mechanism and other glitches.
