The weekend edition of Dana Weiss's submission addressed the Corona panic in the most disproportionate and volume way possible: special maps, reporters spread throughout the country and newsworthy documents. While Yoav Ibn and Arad Nir tried to calm the spirits, for 43 minutes we got a monster dose of panic

Like the bald man in Meir's beloved book, "Consolation Prepared," so is Israel happy that she finally has her own corona, on the Holy Land. If the case has so far been restricted to Israeli passengers on the cruise ship in Japan, the Korean delegation visiting Israel has been shuffling the cards and unleashing the panic doors - which was undoubtedly felt in media coverage of the phenomenon.

And, apparently, the viruses also have Bitmania: It is not at all clear whether members of the Korean pilgrimage went around Israel carrying the disease or not, but the storm requires - in Israeli television's eyes, at least - to describe the event in the most severe dimensions it can have, and in its widest volume. On the weekend news request 12 was already done with a special map, reporters throughout the country, and even provided documentation of the group members from the Cave of the Patriarchs already promised in the headlines of the edition: Here, the Koreans pray for the Corona casualties and say artist (You will not believe what happened next). It's hard to think of a more marginal and newsworthy anecdote. Her prominence shows a complete blurring of the essence and handling, and especially illustrates a congestion of details that mediates the story with particularly high intensity.

The amazing thing about this story is that while reporters - Yoav Eban, Arad Nir - insisted on maintaining proportions of developments, the edition continued to broadcast panic panic: unimaginable percentages of the new section dealt with disease on its sides and pushed even the political reporters aside 20:43 They said the latest words about the virus - while the caption below promises "all the updates on the Corona outbreak in Israel." Interesting definition for the news: There is no outbreak yet, it is doubtful that there is more than one Israeli patient infected with the Corona virus - abroad - but the updates on all of these also exist.

It can be repeatedly mentioned that the health system in Israel does not reach the agenda in times of extreme crisis, although it suffers from many difficulties, and one can wonder how much information is provided in all editions of the virus and the disease in relation to the amount of conversation about infection and isolation and dangers and preparedness. But the funniest thing is to hear Dana Weiss, at the end of a very long evening of illness, asks Health Ministry Director-General Moshe Barr a good sign, "Say, aren't we just putting an entire country into hysteria?"
