This was later shared by a German TV star: Robert Geiss . The millionaire is known for his soft spot for expensive sports cars, which is why his grieving reaction is not surprising. "Monaco this afternoon. Insanity, the beautiful car," wrote the entrepreneur there. Although he does not own a Ferrari F40 , he does have an F12 Berlinetta.

Another video shows a man walking away from the burning sports car, possibly the owner, who was just able to jump out of the vehicle. A local resident even tried to extinguish the Ferrari using a garden hose. In the end, nothing helped: the fire brigade was able to fight the flames, but the F40 only left a burned-out body . The car was then towed away.

Many Ferrari fans are bleeding from the sight of the burning F40: it is the last Ferrari that company founder Enzo Ferrari developed himself. Only 1,315 copies of the sports car were produced between 1987 and 1992. A copy is now traded for more than a million euros - a real collector's item.
