"The new Alfa Romeo Tonale will go into production here in Pomigliano in the second half of 2021 - said Gorlier - the renovation works have already started. Overall, between Panda Hybrid and Alfa Romeo C-SUV Tonale, the first plug-in hybrid model of for this brand, the investment for Pomigliano amounts to over a billion euros. And despite the fake news that occasionally circulates, we reiterate the central role of the 'GB Vico' in the industrial plan ".

Investments which, according to Gorlier, will gradually lead to the full saturation of the workforce by 2022, finally making the almost 4500 employees of the plant say goodbye to the CIG. But in Pomigliano the focus is also on sustainability, as the investments concern new advanced technologies that aim to reduce CO2 emissions and better disposal of superfluous material. Gorlier also reiterated the invitation to the government to support the increase in electric cars with public policies that favor their introduction on the market. '' It would be necessary to act on two levers - he added - both by supporting the scrapping of vehicles before Euro 4 to request the renewal of the fleet in circulation, and by reducing public or private top-up costs, in order to make the total cost of ownership competitive electric vehicle. Measures such as support for the diffusion of the charging infrastructure, such as simplification of the existing procedures for installation, would be needed. "And the event brought back to the factory, after ten years of absence, the Secretary General of Fiom, Francesca Re David, which stressed that its presence '' is objectively a mutual recognition of representation ''. King David also expressed satisfaction with the confirmation of the investments by Gorlier, as done by the secretaries general of Fim, Marco Bentivogli, Fismic, Roberto Di Maulo, and Ugl, Antonio Spera.
