The first coronavirus case in Switzerland does not stop the Geneva Motor Show. The board of directors of the Geneva International Motor Show Foundation (GIMS) and Palexpo met today for a new evaluation in light of the latest information provided by the cantonal health authorities. The Salone - it is learned from a note - will open as expected: journalists will have access to the rooms from 14:00 on Monday 2 March and the car of the year award ceremony will take place in the Congress Center from 15:00 on the same day . The public entrance to the Palexpo will be from 5 to 15 March.
GIMS and Palexpo report that they are following the guidelines of the Federal Office of Public Health and, with all relevant authorities, are following a plan that can be readjusted at any time. Information on the measures taken by GIMS and Palexpo is available on their respective websites.
