With the fully electric version of Vito, Mercedes takes a step forward in its strategy aimed at the electrification of the range, in one of the segments, that of medium-sized vans, among the most crowded and competitive on the market and where the vehicle of the Stella it is the first vehicle ever to adopt a zero-emission strategy.
Ideal for the urban environment, the new eVito uses the know-how of the Stuttgart group's experience: starting from the electric motor, deriving from the EQ brand, passing through the battery pack, borrowed from the hybrid version of the S-Class: with the capacity of the batteries installed, equal to 41 kWh, this vehicle ensures an autonomy of about 150 kilometers, developing a power of 116 hp (84 kW) and a torque of up to 300 Nm (full recharging in about 6 hours). If used in urban centers, the medium-sized van reaches a maximum speed of 80 km / h which saves energy and increases autonomy.
Alternatively, the maximum speed can be set up to 120 km / h. The eVito is available with two different wheelbase variations: the basic version has a total length of 5,140 millimeters and a maximum payload of 1,073 kilograms, which places it on the same level as the conventional propulsion Vito. The extra-long version reaches an overall length of 5,370 millimeters. Inside its load compartment it is possible to transport products and goods of various kinds up to a payload of 1,048 kilograms, while the maximum permissible weight stands at 3,200 kilograms. The extreme versatility of the load capacity (between 6.0 and 6.6 m3) is also due to the position of the batteries, which, being installed under the vehicle, do not in any way limit the load compartment.
The eVito (for sale at 41,217 euros, or with the rental offer that includes an advance of 4 thousand euros and installments of 755 euros), is available not only for freight transport, but also for passengers in the Tourer version, which allows you to accommodate up to nine people, at the same price as the van.
The electric van also offers a series of services that allow you to better manage your fleet: among the most interesting it is worth mentioning the eVan Ready app that allows the user to check whether the battery electric models may or may not be suitable to your vehicle fleet.
Among the systems that can be used on board the eVito, the one relating to energy recovery which allows to further increase autonomy. This form of recovery develops its full potential especially in city traffic, characterized by numerous deceleration phases. The eVito, therefore, is offered with three driving programs plus four levels of energy recovery, which allow the driver to always obtain the maximum performance from his vehicle, based on different parameters of use and personal driving style.

The Stuttgart-based company expands the vision of the mobility of the future by undertaking a cooperation with the Airlite brand which, through a revolutionary new 100% natural technology, produces and markets architectural wall paint capable of eliminating bacteria and purifying the air by reducing CO2 and NOx. Mercedes-Benz Vans, for each eVito purchased will provide the buyer with a tin of Airlite wall paint that can be used in different ways.
