The social network announced Thursday (Thursday) the launch of a version of Facebook Messenger, its instant messaging software, for Windows and MacOs. In addition to making regular calls, the software will also allow for multiple conference calls, just like the zoom that has become the most popular app of recent times.
Since the Corona epidemic broke out, everyone around us has heard of Zoom, the app that will become one of the icons of the era and is seen as one that brings what we have always been looking for - talking to as many people as possible in real time - and controlling everything without leaving home. Facebook apparently understood the great demand for multiplayer video calls following the Corona epidemic - and decided to take advantage of that as well.
And despite the timing that seems almost perfect, it might be worth noting that Mark Zuckerberg announced the new version announced almost a year ago, with the promise that it will be available for download within a few months on both platforms.
The new desktop version will sync completely with the app on smartphones, and it will also come with Dark Mode support. Want to experiment? You can download it for Windows right now, or Macs from here.
