The widgets have been on iOS for years, but unlike Android they are on a dedicated screen and cannot be placed anywhere you want. Now, according to a new report, Apple may introduce the most significant change and allow iOS 14 to place the widgets inside the home screen of your iPhone and iPad, and among the apps.

Since 2007, the day Steve Jobs stood on stage and introduced the first iPhone, the home screen of the iPhone operating system has hardly changed. And the new report of the huge change was also supported on a Twitter tweet by a user called "Donegal," which introduced a new cleaner home screen option that Apple would expose, presumably to prevent the widgets from engulfing in dynamic backgrounds.

And although this is a huge change, the 9to5Mac team that unveiled the new feature warned that there is a chance that Apple might decide to give it up eventually due to the extensive development time required, and in light of the global situation following the Corona crisis.
