A woman and two of her children died on Sunday evening in Carvin in the northeast of Lens (Pas-de-Calais). The three were allegedly stabbed by the mother's companion, reports La Voix du Nord.
Sunday around 11 p.m., the police were alerted by a resident of this neighborhood in the Carvin workers' houses: three young children, according to our information, aged less than 15, took refuge in his home.
When they got to their house, the rescue workers discovered three bodies: that of a 45-year-old mother, a 16-year-old teenage girl, and an 8-year-old boy.
The companion tries to commit suicide
The alleged stabbers, a 39-year-old man who is not the father of the children, allegedly turned the gun against him and tried to end his life. However, he was taken in charge by the emergency services and hospitalized in Lille where he was operated on during the night: his days are no longer in danger.
At the time of the rescue intervention, an important health system was put in place: according to our information, the deceased 16-year-old had indeed tested positive at Covid 19.
According to France Bleu, the three children who gave the alert are 3, 6 and 9 years old. They are unharmed but were accompanied by their grandparents to the hospital in Lens.
