Yes to the invoice, no to the receipt to obtain a refund of 60% of the expenses incurred (up to a maximum of 500 euros) for the purchase, even online, of new or used bicycles, including pedal-assisted, scooters, hoverboards, segways or for the use of shared mobility services for individual use: it is one of the details specified on the website of the Ministry of the Environment (www.minambiente.it/bonus-mobilita). The limit of 50 thousand inhabitants does not apply to capitals and metropolitan cities. Here's how it works in detail.

Mobility bonus, here's how it works

To get the voucher, you need to use an app that will be accessible from the site exclusively with SPID (Public Digital Identity System) credentials. There are two methods of reimbursement: - Phase 1 (from May 4, 2020 until the day the web application starts operating): reimbursement to the beneficiary is envisaged; to obtain the contribution, it is necessary to keep the expense document (invoice and non-receipt) and attach it to the application to be submitted through the web application.

- Phase 2 (from the day the web application starts operating): there is a direct discount from the supplier / shopkeeper. Interested parties must indicate on the app the medium or service they intend to purchase and the platform will generate the digital shopping voucher to be delivered to authorized suppliers.

The bonus can be requested by all adults with residence (not domicile) in one of the 14 metropolitan cities, in the regional and provincial capitals without the limit of 50,000 inhabitants. This limit applies instead in the case of residence in all other municipalities.

Used vehicles can also be purchased, provided that the tax invoice is issued. No, however, to the purchase of accessories (helmets, batteries, chains, padlocks, etc.).

The invoice is also valid in English, as long as it contains all the items of an Italian invoice.

Shopping vouchers must be used within 30 days of their generation, under penalty of cancellation.

The Mobility Voucher Program provides for 2020 to provide mobility vouchers for purchases made from 4 May 2020 to 31 December 2020, without providing for scrapping. From 1 January 2021, the delivery of mobility vouchers will only take place in the face of scrapping carried out in 2021; mobility vouchers can be spent by December 31, 2024.

Those who use the mobility bonus in 2020 (without scrapping), can ask for it or even next year (with scrapping).

Methods and terms for obtaining and disbursing the benefits will be defined in a subsequent inter-ministerial decree implementing the Mobility Voucher Program.
