A hiker died on Sunday afternoon in the Mont-Blanc massif. France 3 explains that it fell between the Nid d'Aigle and Tête Rousse refuges.
The victim was sixty years old. It was his delay, described as "worrying", which prompted the intervention of the High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM) of Chamonix (Haute-Savoie).
He left alone Friday from Les Houches, a neighboring town.
The weekend was deadly in the mountains. Another person died there. In her twenties, she was skiing on a steep slope and fell several hundred meters in the company of another skier.
