Social Network Announces: We Will Recover Israeli Company Employees' Accounts Closed When Suspected of NSO Involved in Cyber Attack on "Wetsap"

Facebook has informed the court that it has decided to open the Facebook and Instagram accounts of all NSO employees who sued it, after blocking their accounts on suspicion of being involved in a cyber attack against Wattsap servers.
Facebook explained this step by not wanting to disclose documents and respond to questionnaires sent to it in the Israeli legal process. Facebook even announced that it pledged not to disable their accounts. In light of this commitment, Facebook is asking the court to delete the NSO employees' claim against it, claiming the lawsuit has only become theoretical. NSO employees have not yet responded to the request.
The lawsuit against Facebook was filed last November with the Tel Aviv District Court alleging that the Facebook account and Instagram of employees of the company engaged in intelligence and cyber. In the background of the lawsuit, Facebook claimed that the company was involved in a cyber attack in which it exploited Facebook's servers to infiltrate about 1,400 mobile devices. Following that, Facebook even filed a lawsuit in the United States, disabling users' accounts that it believed were working in NSO.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court rejected Facebook's appeal of the Tel Aviv district decision stating that Facebook failed to prove that disabling NSO employee accounts would cause Facebook harm. The court added that this statement is in line with sound logic, as it is difficult to argue that accessing one account on the social network will lead to a security breach and a material breach of the safety and security of Facebook users, as well as network infrastructure.
In addition, the Supreme Court noted that Facebook does not allege that employees have misused their private accounts, but that they support and enable NSO's activities as a result of their work. Their work in the company raises great difficulty.
