Global warming has caused turmoil and in just 150 years has managed to cancel the process that in the last 6,500 has seen rather low temperatures. This is indicated by the research published in the journal Scientific Data by climatologists from the University of Northern Arizona, coordinated by Darrell Kaufman.

The study reconstructed the variation in the global average temperatures of the Earth in the last 6,000 years compared to those of the mid-nineteenth century and the climatic variations of the past have been reconstructed by analyzing the sediments of seas and lakes, the ice layers of the Poles and fossil pollen .

It was possible in this way to reconstruct the great change that occurred in the Holocene, the geological period started around 12,000 years ago and where the Earth is currently located. The results, Kaufman said, indicate that "global warming has reached levels never seen in the past six millennia" and that "before warming the Earth underwent global cooling. Then - he concluded - the trend of global temperatures reversed together with the progressive increase in the so-called greenhouse gases "
