18 people have died from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in France, bringing the total dead to 29,893 since the start of the epidemic, the Directorate General of Health announced this Friday evening in its daily statement.

7,990 people are still hospitalized for Covid-19 infection. 125 new admissions have been identified. The balance remains negative in the intensive care unit, with 560 patients, 13 less than yesterday. Four regions (Ile-de-France, Grand-Est, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Hauts-de-France) account for 74% of patients hospitalized in intensive care.
In overseas France (Guadeloupe, Guyana, Reunion, Martinique, Mayotte), there are 222 hospitalizations, including 42 in intensive care.
The DGS also communicated on the “ clusters ”, these epidemic foci, which continue to form in France. Since May 9, it has counted " 310 grouped cases, including 5 new in 24 hours, but 187 closed ".
Since the start of the epidemic, 104,904 people have been hospitalized, including 18,415 in intensive care.
