World Fault: Today (Friday), iPhone users around the world have suddenly begun to complain that popular apps are collapsing one after another - including Spotify, Waze, Tinder, Tick Tock and Pittnest. The source of the malfunction, which lasted at least an hour, is in the Facebook Development Kit (SDK).
As part of the development system offered by the social network to developers, it also allows them to embed the login or app service through their users' Facebook account, along with quick social networking options, so that any failure in the development system also affects the applications - and even their collapse.
The malfunction began in the region at 3 p.m., and according to the downdetector website that provides a snapshot of global Internet glitches, the malfunction appears to have been felt mainly in Central Europe, the Middle East including Israel, and North America.
Facebook, which soon handled the malfunction, said in a statement that "we are aware of the errors and issues in our SDK in the iOS operating system that are causing some apps to crash and are investigating the possibility of troubleshooting." And this is not the first time such a case has occurred. Last May, a similar case happened when the same apps suffered from disruptions.
