A “wild” football match between young people from Versailles and Guyancourt (Yvelines) degenerated into a giant fight Thursday evening, leaving five injured, we learned this Friday from police sources.
The match, which ended around 10 p.m. at the Jussieu stadium in Versailles, gave way to a giant brawl that lasted until midnight, with baseball bats and iron bars in particular, said l one of these sources
Two arrests
A total of five people were injured and taken to hospital. Four of them were injured in the face and head, and the fifth had a fractured leg.
Two people were arrested after the brawl, the causes of which remain unknown.
Since the start of the health crisis, wild football matches have multiplied everywhere in Ile-de-France, bringing together hundreds of people, players and spectators alike. Already a month ago, a match had degenerated in the Yvelines, again turning into a fight.
