An announcement about the liquidation of PayBox's property liquidation proceedings this morning (Sunday) caused tremendous pressure among users of Bedeck Discount's payment app who feared they would lose money in their digital wallet. Because many have attempted to withdraw the funds, users have reported disruptions to the balance of the account.

The storm was created following Pike News distributed on the network, since it is not a Discount Bank digital wallet but a startup operating in Israel and designated for overseas markets, bearing a similar name, and the app it has developed. After Discount Bank bought its operations in 2017.

This information caused a great deal of disinformation and such pressure among consumers, who were trying to withdraw their money at the same time. Many parent groups are collecting funds for kindergartens and schools through this app, where the message was written "Friends, anyone who has a Paybox app is the time to withdraw the financial balance into the bank account. The company has declared liquidation."

Discount Bank emphasizes that there is no connection between the two companies, and commented: "These are two separate entities with no business relationship between them and the current move has no effect or significance on the Discount Bank application of the Bank operating in the Israeli market. All the more so at a startup company that has tried its luck overseas.

Regarding the problem of withdrawing funds, Discount said that "following the Pike News distributed, unnecessary loads are created on the system and indeed it is malfunctioning at these moments. We recommend waiting a little while for the technical teams to return the system to regular operation."
