Partner announced yesterday (Monday) the establishment of the fifth generation network (5G), known as the Partner 5G project, thus becoming the first company in Israel to launch with the deployment of the new network. The company notes that in recent months they conducted a surfing capabilities test and managed to reach a rate of more than 1 gigabit (1,000 megabits).
These days the company is completing the implementation of a new core switch with support capabilities for existing and future advanced technologies. Partner's upgraded core enables the construction of 5G network capabilities, subject to regulatory advances and fifth-generation antenna deployment advances.
Fifth-generation networks allow, in addition to fast mobile browsing, other uses in the IoT (Internet of Things) worlds, and can be used for ultra-fast home browsing at speeds of up to 1 GB, regardless of the presence of wired infrastructure. At the same time, Partner is upgrading to the core of the existing cellular network, in a move designed to build new capabilities, expanding the existing capabilities of advanced voice calling services such as VoLTE (Voice Calls over Generation 4), WiFi Calling and implementing additional technologies in the core data surfing data.
