A 6-year-old boy is missing near the lake of Château-La-Vallière (Indre-et-Loire), located 40 km north of Tours since Monday, announced the public prosecutor of Tours, Grégoire Dulin .
"The research continues this [Tuesday] morning, with sweeping, dog teams, aquatic resources and a helicopter," said the magistrate.
Since 6 p.m. Monday evening, significant research resources have been deployed by the gendarmerie but the child is still untraceable this Tuesday morning.
Group outing with their home
The little boy, placed in the Child welfare, was on a group outing with his home. His educator lost his track around 6 p.m. Monday. It would be a group outing of six children, all between the ages of 6 and 14.
The boy was on a swimming trip on a pond beach when the person looking after him lost sight of him. The investigators fear in particular that he drowned in the pond.
An investigation was opened for worrying disappearance. It was entrusted to the Research Brigade of the Tours gendarmerie.
