A 57-year-old father was killed by a fleeing driver during the night of Monday to Tuesday, near Lens (Pas-de-Calais). The victim was woken up around 4 a.m. by the sound of a van hitting cars parked in a street in the town of Harnes, reports Europe 1.
The man then took his car with his 18-year-old son to search for the van. They found the author of the damage a few streets away.
The driver actively sought
The father got out of his vehicle to talk to the driver and stop him, but the driver knocked him down, dragged him for several meters and fled. The victim died in front of his son as a result of his injuries. The driver is actively wanted by the police.
