The sensitive district of Moulins was shaken by a new shooting this Thursday afternoon in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes). At 3.20 p.m., several shots targeted a man in his twenties, of Chechen origin, according to the prosecution.
He would have taken refuge in a building where he was taken care of by the firefighters, in absolute urgency. "His prognosis is vital, he has at least two wounds according to the first findings", also indicated the prosecution at the end of the day.
Since the beginning of the summer, this sector of the west of Nice has experienced three shootings which have so far caused no casualties. One of them was filmed in front of a supermarket in broad daylight on July 20. A few days later, Prime Minister Jean Castex had moved to this district known to be a hotbed of drug trafficking.
In the company of the Ministers of the Interior and of Justice, he had notably announced the generalization at the start of the school year of fixed fines for drug consumption and the reinforcement of sixty police officers in Nice.
