A fire no doubt voluntary broke out this Friday around 3 am in a room of the mosque of Bron (Rhône), indicates the prosecutor's office of Lyon. No casualties were reported. Nearly 100 m2 of the ground floor were completely devastated by the flames, reports Progress.

After more than two hours of intervention, according to Progress, the firefighters managed to control the fire.

The Lyon public prosecutor's office has launched an investigation for "voluntary damage by fire" entrusted to the departmental security of Lyon.
