His body was found lifeless in the water on Saturday. According to the firefighters of Berck-sur-Mer, in Pas-de-Calais, a 28-year-old man died by drowning.
He had come to the seaside resort during a trip, "organized by the association Abri-groupe de la Seine-Saint-Denis", announced the firefighters at France Bleu, who had initially taken care of two 47-year-old men, from the same homeless group, in the same location.
The latter survived, but had to be transferred to the city hospital, after the reinforcement, on the beach, of a helicopter dispatched by the emergency services, according to La Voix du Nord.
The newspaper specifies that an investigation should be opened soon, in order, in particular, to determine why the 28-year-old victim could not be saved, as the two forties could have been.
