As you may recall, last week Apple and Google removed the Fortnite app claiming that the game violated the terms of the app store. According to them, Fortnite has combined a payment mechanism that bypasses the built-in mechanism of Apple and Google, thus preventing Epic Games from paying a 30 percent commission on each purchase. Fortnite have decided to avoid paying a 30% commission on games users' purchases, and as is well known: there are many. In fact, any player can buy virtual coins called V-Bucks and thus buy new costumes and equipment. Epic has released an update for Android and iPhone that bypasses Apple's mechanism, and transfers 100% of purchases to it.

After Apple and Google removed, Fortnite sent a lawsuit against Apple and alongside the lawsuit, Epic released a video that laughed at Apple's 1984 ad, in which it introduced IBM as Monopoly, and launched the #FreeFortnite campaign.
Now Apple has announced that on August 28 it will delete all of Epic's developer accounts, and in a tweet released by the company, they asked the court to stop it. In an urgent letter sent to the court today, Epic tries to stop the decree. Deleting developer accounts actually means that the game studio will not be able to release updates to those people who have already had time to download Fortnite.
