For children and young people, YouTubers are today's pop stars, they are adored like idols. Internet celebrities can act as role models to a big sister or brother.

Parents will hardly manage to get a complete overview of all the great influencers. In addition to YouTube, the social media platforms Instagram, TikTok and Twitch also produce their own celebrities. In Germany alone, there are already more than 90 channels on YouTube that have more than two million subscribers.

Measured against this, Rezo, who became known to the general public through "The Destruction of the CDU", is only a medium-sized YouTuber: his video channels have not yet cracked the two million subscription mark. If you really want to understand what inspires your own children, you have to keep talking about who is being hyped and, at best, watch a few videos together.

Nevertheless, there are some prominent personalities who have had a lasting impact on YouTube, for example Knossi, Katja Krasavice and Tanzverbot. Many of them are not ideal role models; their topics range from online gambling to the world of sex and porn. But that is no reason to reject your videos outright. If you know these ten YouTubers, you will get a good first impression of the most important faces in YouTube Germany.
