A few months ago, when the Covid-19 pandemic was reaching its peak, the government claimed that neither wearing a mask nor testing was necessary.
For a simple reason: we did not have any stocks of masks or reagents to perform the tests!
Today the official discourse has shifted from one extreme to the other.
On the one hand, we impose in several cities of France the wearing of the mask and, on the other hand, we summon the laboratories to carry out a maximum of tests, to the tune of
"one million per week",
according to the Minister of Health.
Result: the biology laboratories found themselves completely overwhelmed.
