Singer Jonathan Margie at the yes press conference talks about the impact of the Corona crisis on the filming of his series and his work, September 14, 2020 (Sagi Ben-Nun)

"It is not fair to allow synagogues to open and cultural halls not to allow. I live with an observant person, who goes to synagogue and prays every day, and all his kippah-wearing family members I talk to think so - that there is no reason not to compare art to faith. "Why not the theater hall? The Tishrei holidays are important, but the laws of Israel do not restrict worship to a particular religion. If theater or art in general is our spiritual experience - it can be defined as worship."

So she told Walla!

Culture of the Chairman of Shaham - The Players' Organization - Esti Zakheim.

The second closure is set to take effect on Friday, and the cultural world will be silenced again.

However, the government will allow prayers to be held during the holidays and quite a few artists have expressed frustration with this.

Zakheim herself was supposed to play in a play at the Acre Festival for another theater, but the festival, which was scheduled to take place on October 3-6, will be postponed following the closure.

"After we worked on the show for the Acre Festival for two and a half months of rehearsals, freeze it. It's terrible. It's like being pregnant and in the middle they tell you - no birth. Expropriate the Acre Festival and also the Haifa Festival and more. Sukkot is a holiday where families of travelers go to festivals "I think the Ministry of Health does not care, they are more ultra-Orthodox than the ultra-Orthodox and are busy pleasing them, and they do not care about the artists and consumers of art."

"I feel helpless, putting the artists aside. Why? Because I do not have a lobby? Because I do not have power in the Likud center?"

"When I read the instructions of the closure I am appalled," Zackheim adds, "there is a sense that we are being sidelined and that we are not essential - no cinema, no theater, no art - they are not allowed to work while others are allowed. I feel helpless. Why is that? I do not have a lobby? Because I do not have power in the Likud Center? Because I do not have Deri or Litzman who can threaten? In my sense I do not have a weapon. It seems that we are alone in the campaign. This month we performed with the 'Revolutionary' play of the Aspemia Ensemble The audience stood up and told us how much they missed the theater and the concerts. I feel that this voice is not felt loud enough. The feeling that only if you turn a table or you are threatening something changes. Where is the long-term economic thinking? It's not only the destruction of the culture. "And I speak as an independent who has been sharing taxes with the state all these years and suddenly we are not essential. It feels hard."

We asked the Minister of Culture, Hili Trooper, whether he tried to compare the field of culture to the outline of prayers in holiday capsules, and in response we were told: "The Minister does not compare to synagogues but to other industries For large gatherings, culture should also be allowed to gather for performances. "As we have developed the culture in recent weeks, we will work hard to reopen it after the closure and the decline in morbidity."

The world of culture fears collapse: "Until we get some air - we are beheaded"

"We crash from any such closure."

The presenter Rotem Sela, whose filming of the new series in which she plays, the "cook" of yes, was interrupted because of the corona, was also angry about the complete freeze of the cultural world in a conversation she had with Walla!

Culture Tuesday (Monday) at the yes press conference: "This is a pretty depressing and sad time, especially for people who need to close their businesses, and only God knows how they will support their families. It is depressing. In the end it hurts everyone, some more and some less. Of course my friends "Working in the theater or performing on stage as musicians has hurt me much more, because on TV they still somehow manage to run some weird corona routine, but it sucks for everyone. I wish the state really helped those who needed it properly."

"We crash from any such closure," actor Zohar Strauss told Walla!

Culture, "People who work in the field of culture, they started some recovery, we could see some hope, people started preparing for performances according to the outline, and now everything has once again fallen to the floor. It leaves people in a lot of trouble. Our industry is facing a very big difficulty. Great to make a living now. Luckily I have a business called Amanda that does business training in the areas of public performance. We were supposed to shoot the new season of 'Stisl' in March, and we found ourselves filming in August. Instead of winter we found ourselves filming in the hottest season, it was very "It was difficult. We had to fill streets because they were empty in a multi-participant street scene."

"I wish the state really would have helped properly those who needed it."

On the other hand, the one who got the culture freeze much more easily is the singer Jonathan Margie, who told Walla!

Culture: "Listen, what do we have to do? No one planned it. In the end, if there is such a large amount of patients then that's what needs to be done. In the end health is what matters most. I hope it works out as quickly as possible."

The filming of your series on yes, called "PPS", was interrupted twice because of the corona.

"True, it was very difficult to shoot during that time. It was an ongoing battle. One time I put myself in isolation independently because I knew there was someone on the set with Corona. I did not meet him but he was still on the set and I was on the set so I went into isolation. Luckily "The photos had to be postponed for only a week. This was the second time they were interrupted."

Alongside the bass, there are composers who say that more songs were released during the Corona period, how was it with you?

"I think it's our advantage as musicians and creators in general, much easier for someone who creates in isolation. When I go into the studio to do something I do not know what I ate, do not know what time, do not know anything. I recommend time for yourself."
