More luxurious, more connected and more electrified
Tonight Jaguar unveiled the second generation of the brand's first recreational vehicle: the F-Pace.
The base is an updated chassis that has undergone adjustments and modifications to support a wide range of electrified propulsion systems and to enable a combination of new automation and dynamics systems.
Alongside the more pointed exterior design - but one that retains the identity of the vehicle, more work has been done inside the Jaguar to elevate it to the level we see today in other premium brands.
That means a brand new and ultra-modern cockpit.
Configurable virtual dashboard, an updated multimedia system - PIVI - as we first encountered the new Land Rover Defender, only with a much larger screen up to 11.4 inches.
Beneath all this there is a new architecture called EVA2.0 which allows not only to receive system updates “from the air” (it is always linked) but also has a structure that allows a combination of future technologies when they arrive.
Most propulsion systems receive this or that electrical assistance - from light hybrid (MHEV) to PHEV charged from the electrical outlet.
The range of power ranges from 163 hp for the basic diesel version to 404 hp for the 2.0-liter turbo PHEV petrol version, which also produces 65 kg.
The same PHEV version has an electric range of 53 km from a 17.1 kW lithium battery, fast charging capability from a DC position and a super-low emission level of 49 gc.
Fixed dual propulsion with superior reverse power transmission - for the dynamics you know - as well as a planetary 8-speed automatic transmission common to all versions.
