A French business manager was killed in his apartment in Andorra, on the night of Sunday to Monday, by a former employee, we learned from a police source.

According to Andorra's Diari, the 56-year-old man was struck with a blunt object, possibly a hammer.

The alleged murderer, a 31-year-old Togolese national, himself alerted the police after setting fire to the apartment, located in a residential complex in the municipality of Encamp.

He surrendered and admitted his guilt.

The victim's wife and daughter were able to escape the fire

The entrepreneur was killed while his 12-year-old daughter and wife were also in the apartment.

The latter, still according to Diari d'Andorra, was sprayed with a liquid.

The latter and her daughter, one of the victim's children, were able to escape the fire.

Investigators were seeking to establish on Monday what could have opposed the ex-employee and his former boss, who ran an IT services company.
