Murder of young Alicia: the accused pleads the sex game that has slipped

2020-09-21T17:28:53.870Z

The cook, aged 19 at the time, had kept the body of the victim, 14, in a bed safe in his apartment near Toulo

A sex game that would have gone wrong.

This is the line of defense of Alexandre Bresse, 22, tried since Monday by the Assize Court of Haute-Garonne for the rape and murder of Alicia Camilleri, 14, on April 19, 2018 in Beauzelle, a town in the Toulouse metropolitan area.

The accused, who was 19 years old at the material time, is being prosecuted for rape and intentional homicide, for which he faces life imprisonment.

This young man, holder of a cook's CAP, is also being prosecuted for the sexual assault of another young girl, Roxane, in January 2018. At the age of 15, Alexandre Bresse was also sentenced for exhibition and sexual assault in Reims (Marne).

In the box, the young man with short brown hair and broad shoulders reiterated this Monday morning that he did not intend to kill the 14-year-old girl, whom he had known since the beginning of the post- noon, the day of the drama.

That evening, Alicia, whose parents are separated, has permission from her father to go out with a friend, Aurélien.

They both go to Alexandre, who is used to receiving young people at parties in his apartment.

Aurélien finally leaves for another party and leaves Alicia alone with the accused.

Around 10 p.m., when Alicia's mother-in-law comes to pick her up, there is only Alexander left in his apartment, who tells him that the young girl has already left.

Not believing him, his mother-in-law calls the gendarmes who then go up to the apartment.

It is in the trunk of the bed, on which the young man is sitting, that Alexia is found, unconscious, a T-shirt in her mouth and a cord around her neck.

She died a few hours later at the Toulouse University Hospital.

"The relationship was not agreed"

The accused, who fled, is arrested two hours later and explains having had a consensual relationship with Alicia, who allegedly asked him to shake his neck for a sexual game.

A defense which it has never varied but in which the family of the victim never believed, refuting the seductive behavior of the young girl, as suggested by the accused.

For Me Bruno Merle, Alicia's father's lawyer, “he held his neck too long for this to be an accident.

The sexual relation was not consensual and the past of the accused, already convicted of a sexual assault, made him already have this in mind.

In the afternoon, he even told friends that in order to make a body disappear, it must be thrown in weight in the Garonne or hidden under a bed.

He might have remained a petty sex offender, but his acting out is monstrous.

"

This Monday in front of the court, the parents of Alexandre described their son "like a good boy, who suffered from the divorce, made three suicide attempts, in particular at the time of the college where he was harassed".

“It's a horror, a drama that broke two families, but it's a sex game that got out of hand, he didn't want to kill her, his father assured.

It's an accident and he's lost control.

"

"A personality of a sexual sociopath"

The personality investigator underlined in court the unbridled sexual relations of the accused, frequenting swingers clubs, but also a sexual assault he allegedly suffered at the age of 5 from a cousin.

"It is a personality of a sexual sociopath who takes pleasure without worrying about that of the other, there is something impulsive, generating immediate pleasure", she explained.

Another psychologist pointed to the accused's ability to distort the reality of the facts.

This Monday, the court also heard Roxane at length, the friend accusing her of having put her hand in her panties while they were sleeping three in a bed.

The 18-year-old girl, who lodged a complaint against him after Alicia's death, maintained her version in the face of an accused denying being involved in the case, believing that he "would never have done that to the one he considered her little sister ”.

This Tuesday, jurors will hear personality experts on Alicia's case and investigators.
