Two people were taken into police custody in the investigation of a man found half-burnt in an apartment in Rennes last week, prosecutor Philippe Astruc announced on Wednesday, confirming information from Ouest-France.
According to the local newspaper, it would be a couple of marginalized, both in their forties.
The latter was reportedly seen on September 17, arguing with the man found dead in his apartment.
Criminal origin
On the night of Thursday to Friday, the body of this man was discovered in an apartment near the University Hospital Center (CHU). The investigation had been entrusted to the Interregional Direction of the judicial police of Rennes, the autopsy having revealed "multiple injuries likely to confirm a death of criminal origin", according to the prosecutor.
