This is the second time in a year that drugs have been found on the premises of the Collectivité de Corse (CDC) in Ajaccio.
In November 2019, 75 g of cannabis, a scale and an unidentified powder, had already been discovered in the false ceiling of an office of the Collectivité de Corse in the city.
The investigation was entrusted to the departmental directorate of public security, as was the one opened after the discovery on Monday of nine cannabis plants in the gardens of the CDC.
The institution lodged a complaint and an investigation was opened, we learned this Friday from the prosecution and the CDC.
"Zero tolerance" from the police
The discovery took place Monday evening and the police were notified immediately and went to the scene Tuesday morning, said the general direction of services of the CDC, confirming information from France 3 Via Stella.
The chain specifies that the cannabis was found at the address which hosts technical services.

The plants were destroyed by the police, added the same source, who assured to have "zero tolerance" to this kind of discovery.
A complaint, filed by the Collectivity, gave rise to the opening of an investigation, entrusted to the departmental direction of public security, said the Ajaccio prosecutor's office.
