Zynga has announced that it will download the original FarmVille game on Facebook at the end of the year.

And if you have no idea what this is about, the game was a simulation of a farm, which dominated the social network more than a decade ago, turning us all into virtual parts.

And this is not entirely unexpected news, as the social network announced in July that it would stop supporting flash games starting on December 31, the same date that Adobe would stop supporting outdated and heavy technology that allowed us to enjoy animations, video and games for more than two decades.

As is well known, Steve Jobs announced in 2007 that the flash would not reach the first iPhones, and later also the iPad because of the depletion of resources in which it excelled.

The game was launched in 2009 and had more than 10 million active users in less than two months.

At the height of its popularity, about 50 million people around the world played it every day, which helped the Zinga maker make quite a bit of money in a short time.

Game use peaked in early 2010, with more than 85 million registered players.

Alongside this, Farmville became famous, but also notorious, especially in its early days, when it took over our feed feed and constantly urged players to spend money and recruit their friends.

Plus, even though it was free, quite a few people spent real money to advance the game or shorten the waiting time.

In the meantime, you can play the game as usual until December 31, after which it will be permanently closed.

The company does not give up and noted that the new version for smartphones, FarmVille 3, will soon be available worldwide.
