Hate the new design?

Please note: A new Google Chrome plugin will allow you to return to the classic look of the social network with a click • How does it work and how safe is it?

• all the details

A little over a year after first releasing the new design, earlier this month Facebook announced that it would move all users to the latest look - and would not allow them to return to the "classic" and familiar design.

And as always, there were those who disliked the one-sided move of the social network, and found a solution: a new plugin for Google Chrome called Old Layout for Facebook.

With the help of the free plugin you can return to the old design with a click.

And this is not a danger to your privacy, since behind the scenes it is a pretty simple trick.

The plugin does not change anything in the social network source code, but rather reports that you are using an older version of Chrome ostensibly, so Facebook shows you the old design automatically.

How It Works?

Download the plugin

by clicking "Add to Chrome", then it will automatically appear in the top bar within the puzzle-shaped icon.

Now, go to Facebook, click on the icon - then on Old Layout for Facebook, and then on Old Layout.

As you may recall, Facebook's new facelift abandons the blue menu bar associated with it and includes a cleaner and less cluttered interface, with larger fonts and sleek icons that were apparently taken from the smartphone app.

In addition, Facebook highlights the stories more, in order to promote the feature and make it more popular among users.

And despite the happy solution, there is still a chance that this option will also be blocked at some point by Facebook, and it will ask you to simply update the browser.
