The coronavirus epidemic continues to progress in France.
12,148 new cases have been detected in the past 24 hours, Public Health France and the Ministry of Health announced on Friday (October 2) in their daily press release.
Thursday, 13,970 people had tested positive.

136 people have died from Covid-19 in the territory since yesterday, bringing the toll to 32,155 victims.
In detail, there are 47 deaths in hospital and 89 in nursing homes and medico-social establishments.
A total of 6,758 people are currently in hospital, including 1,276 in the intensive care unit.

Of the 1001 clusters that remain under investigation, 35.9% occurred in schools and universities: this is the most represented category, ahead of private and public companies (18.4%) and health establishments. (10.6%).
