What was your reaction after the attack on the Champigny-sur-Marne police station last night?

I had a feeling of disgust to see a symbol of the republic thus attacked.
But I was reassured that no policeman was injured despite the violence of the attack.
The attackers were kept outside thanks to the cold blood of the police and the security reinforcement engaged in this police station.
I asked that all means be taken to challenge the authors, the first elements of which lead us to believe that some are very young.
As I have already said, we are confronted with a stronger violence, with acts of savagery against everything that represents the authority of the republic: police forces, firefighters, elected officials ... also has a clear link between this violence and the fight we are waging in these neighborhoods against drug trafficking.
This police station is located in the heart of a difficult district, one of the most important places for heroin trafficking in Île de France.
Several anti-narcotics operations have taken place in recent weeks in Val-de-Marne.
No doubt this has a link ...
But this is not the first time that the Champigny police station has been targeted in this way.
The Champigny police station was secured by my predecessor two years ago: creation of an iron curtain, double glazing ... In addition, last year, the Bois l'Abbé district was designated as a reconquest district Republican (QRR), which led to the deployment of additional police personnel.
But I regret that this city is not equipped with protective video cameras.
Would it have changed anything, the attackers seem to have concealed their faces?

Cameras contribute to the fight against drug trafficking.

The police continue to scare people otherwise we wouldn't attack them!
It is under attack commensurate with the traffic it is fighting against.
The police are disturbing because they make arrests of traffickers, seize merchandise and large sums of money - two large operations have been carried out in the Lyon and Paris suburbs in recent days with each time seizures of several hundred kg of drug.
And this feeling of impunity that the police denounce?
Generally speaking, the offender always ends up being confused and arrested.
It is then up to justice to do its job.
I hope that when we attack the police, firefighters, elected officials, the criminal response will be as severe as possible.
And I know that this feeling is shared by the Keeper of the Seals.
During the attack on the Champigny police station, there were many fireworks shots.
Where is your bill on banning them for sale?
We are working on it.
The ministry will meet in the coming days with professionals in the sector because fireworks should not be sold to everyone.
In the bill relating to the safety continuum which must be presented on November 17 to the National Assembly by the deputies Jean-Michel Fauvergue and Alice Thourot, I will propose an amendment to prohibit the sale of these fireworks to the public , including on the Internet.
I want them to be considered weapons by destination whose sale and use should be penalized as such.
