A week ago, he published on YouTube a video composed of esoteric drawings, a tribute to Victorine Dartois.

He was unaware then that his brother was going to be arrested and confess the murder of the 18-year-old girl found dead on September 28 - two days after her disappearance - in a stream in Villefontaine (Isère).

This Wednesday, he has “nothing more to say” about his brother, Ludovic B. For several days, investigators from the Grenoble research section have been discreetly investigating this young man, arrested Tuesday afternoon by the gendarmes of elite of the GIGN.

Placed in custody, the 25-year-old suspect did not know Victorine personally but, according to corroborating sources, he admitted having killed the young woman.

The custody of Ludovic B. was extended this Wednesday afternoon.

He could be referred this Thursday.

On Wednesday afternoon, the gendarmes seized the suspect's car as well as many personal effects.

Known to the courts in particular for narcotics cases, Ludovic B., born in the Rhône, is described as a "local petty delinquent" by a source close to the investigation.

An acquaintance of the suspect evokes for his part a "normal boy, even if he had changed quite a bit for a little over a year because of his drug consumption".

Father of a toddler, married for more than three years, the young man appears, on his Facebook profile, on a large displacement scooter, in a swimming pool with a sea view or sitting on the hood of a car luxury.

A former friend says he is "very touched" and also evokes the tumultuous relations of Ludovic B. with his in-laws and with his wife.

“There were often shouts at his place.

We heard screams, ”says a neighbor.

Another also evokes the consumption of cocaine by the young man.

This Wednesday, several relatives of the young man, manager of a small transport company, emptied his apartment located on the ground floor of the Place des Fayards, in the Fougères district in Villefontaine, less than a kilometer from the home of Victorine Dartois parents.

On foot, it takes less than ten minutes, from her small three-story building, to reach the Prairie stadium, where Victorine made her last phone call to her sister, shortly before 7 p.m.

This winding path in old Villefontaine runs along, towards the end, the small stream about forty centimeters deep where Victorine's body was found.

In a garbage container which had been marked by Saint-Hubert, these dogs of the gendarmerie with the formidable flair, the investigators had found, the day after the discovery of the Victorine's body, clothes and shoes likely to belong to the suspect, we learned from sources close to the case, confirming information from Dauphiné Libéré.

Analyzes were carried out on these clothes.

Others are underway to compare the suspect's genetic fingerprint and DNA evidence collected from Victorine's personal effects.

It now remains to know the exact circumstances that led to the death of the young woman.

"It just looks like a bad meeting," said a source close to the investigation.

He would obviously have tried to approach her.

Victorine was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
