Dacia Spring - The cheapest tram? | vehicle

Dacia Spring - The cheapest tram?

Dacia has unveiled the "Spring", the first electric vehicle to go east of the Danube River and is of course a small crossover.

And the main question is: Will Dacia bring the good news of price and accessibility with an electric vehicle that will also be at an equal price per person?

At the unveiling, Renault officials stated that the "Spring will be the cheapest electric vehicle in Europe".

How cheap?

Ah… They did not say that and certainly did not mention the number.

Just make sure the price tag that hangs from the side mirror is "invincible."

We'll see.

A closer look reveals that this is not a brand new car but a Romanian variation of a similar Renault that is already marketed in China: City K-ZE which puts the Dacia Spring in the small car group, smaller than the recently renovated Sandro).

The vehicle has a wheelbase of 242 cm, a total length of 373 cm, a width of 177 cm and a height of 151 cm.

More sexual than super-sexual.

The power for propulsion is provided by a lithium battery with a capacity of 26.8 kWh and it cheerfully feeds electrons to a single electric motor with an output of 45 hp and 12.5 kg / h.

The acceleration data is quite vegetarian and the manufacturers refrained from publishing them, but did publish a maximum speed of 125 km / h and a combined range of 225 km (WLTP).

It has a fast charging capacity from a DC stand of up to 30 kW, while charging a normal household outlet will take about 14 hours.

The small car will be equipped for four adult passengers, has a trunk volume of 300 liters and it is always useful.

As expected to keep the price level low (“competitive and winning”) the air conditioner is in manual operation and items like a multimedia system, electric mirror direction, parking sensors and camera and even a full size spare wheel, all for an extra charge.

And yet you get an electric steering wheel reinforcement, central door lock, four electric windows and a trip computer with a 3.5-inch display in the heart of the dashboard.

Dacia Spring will hit the European market in early 2021. Then we will know what the price of the cheapest electric vehicle in Europe will be.

And you will also have meanings about us, here in Israel.
