Conflans attack: who are the seven people presented to the anti-terrorism judge?

2020-10-21T08:22:02.614Z

They were referred overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday at the end of their custody. Among them, two college students who would have helped kill him

Seven people, among those placed in police custody as part of the investigation opened after the assassination last Friday of Samuel Paty, professor of history at the college of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Yvelines), were referred during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday to be presented to an anti-terrorism investigating judge.

Investigations confirm that the killer, Abdoullkah Anzorov, spoke about the future victim with several people linked to the establishment.

If it is established that some could not ignore his disastrous project, they risk an indictment for "complicity in terrorist assassination" or "terrorist criminal association".

Two college students.

Two students from the college where Samuel Paty worked are part of this group of seven people who will be confronted with the anti-terrorism magistrate.

They are suspected of having received money from the young Chechen, with whom they exchanged in Conflans some time before the tragedy.

Abdoullkah Anzorov was looking for information to be able to identify Samuel Paty.

Brahim C., parent of a student.

This 48-year-old man seems to be at the origin of the gear that led to the barbaric death of the teacher.

A few days after Samuel Paty's course on freedom of expression and Muhammad's cartoons, he published a video launching "a call for mobilization against the teacher", whom he qualified as a "thug", and filed a complaint, claiming that his daughter was disturbed.

The investigation will show that this one had not attended the course of Samuel Paty.

Investigators were able to establish that Brahim C. and the killer spoke on WhatsApp before the attack.

In custody, this parent of a student said he regretted that his videos could lead to the death of the teacher and assured that he was unaware of the intentions of Abdullakh Anzorov.

An Islamist activist,

Abdelhakim Sefrioui.

Fiché S, pro-Hamas, pro-Muslim Brotherhood, this man on the radar of the intelligence services accompanied Brahim C. in his "steps" to put pressure on the professor, in particular by going to meet the principal of the college.

He himself had also posted a video calling for action against the “thug” teacher.

Three friends of the killer.

Two men presented themselves at the police station in Évreux (Eure), a few hours after the terrorist attack.

The first, who lives in the same neighborhood as Abdoullakh Anzorov, took the latter by car to Conflans on the morning of the tragedy.

The second would have accompanied him during the purchase of a dagger.

A third man was arrested on Sunday morning.

They were released

Four people from the assailant's family circle (parents, grandfather and little brother), arrested in Evreux in the wake of the identification of the young Chechen, were released at the end of their custody in view.

Investigators also released three college students, Abdelhakim Sefrioui's companion, as well as a man already convicted of terrorism and who was in contact with Abdoullakh Anzorov.
