It had happened in 1957, when the first Fiat 500 revolutionized the way of moving individually, offering a solution that was more personal, young and creative than the 600, the family car.
And it was repeated in 2007, when in Turin the 500 of the modern era, a great success of these years, was reborn in a 'dimension' more suited to the needs of the market.
Now, with the debut of the New 500 - which marks the passage of this icon to the world of electric cars - the Fiat brand has reaffirmed all its ability to innovate and look ahead, while remaining faithful to its great past.

For this new variant, which adds a door on the right side to facilitate access on board, designers from the Centro Stile have worked on a smart solution that has maintained the exact same measurements as the convertible and sedan versions, with the discreet insertion of a third small door on the passenger side.
Just like the first 500 of 1957, which featured doors hinged on the rear: a return to the model's roots in a fruitful dialogue between past and future.
The result is a new body, which is added to the sedan and convertible, but whose measurements remain unchanged, without a single centimeter of bulk.
The third small door opens against the wind and, thanks to the absence of the central pillar incorporated in the door itself, allows you to get on board more easily, to load and unload bulky objects more easily and to position the child quickly and easily on the seat or on the riser.
And once this little door is closed, there is no difference with the other 500: same style, same size.
All this with a weight increase of only 30 kg which does not impact the handling and fuel consumption of the car.
On the safety side, it should be noted that the small third door opens only after opening the front door so that the rear occupants cannot open it involuntarily.
With the 3 + 1, the Fiat Nuova 500 wants to continue to be at the side of a customer who has changed habits and needs, but not his taste.
A customer who does not want to give up the beauty and charm that all 500s have in general in their DNA, and the New 500 3 + 1 is the answer.
Like what was done for the convertible and sedan, the New 500 3 + 1 is also presented at launch in the 'la Prima' Opening Edition version characterized by style, exclusivity, technology and connectivity.
It is offered in the three launch colors Rose Gold, Glacier Blue and Onyx Black.
It is characterized by a series of exclusive details such as the full Led headlights with Infinity design, the 17-inch two-tone diamond wheels and the chrome inserts on the windows and on the side.
The eco-leather seats, dashboard and steering wheel are also exclusive, as are the Fiat monogram on the seats, the two-tone upholstery for the steering wheel and the dedicated 'la Prima' plate on the pillar.
On the comfort front, the New 500 3 + 1 offers six-way adjustable front seats, floor mats, electrochromic interior rear-view mirror and 360-degree drone 'view' parking sensors.

In addition to the Opening Edition, the New 500 in 3 + 1 staging will be available in the Passion and Icon versions, and alongside the other New 500 battery-powered Berlina and Cabrio variants, with prices (without incentives) starting from 26,150 euros.
The 500 Sedan and Cabrio ranges naturally remain in the Fiat price lists, with petrol, bifuel LPG / petrol and mild hybrid petrol engines.
