Three days after the discovery in Rouen of the body of a 60-year-old man at his home, two young women were taken into police custody Tuesday morning for intentional homicide, according to information from Paris Normandie.
It is not yet known what links exist between the 60-year-old and these two women.
The victim was discovered at her home on Saturday morning by the firefighters on Quai Cavelier-de-la-Salle, an artery along the Seine.
The firefighters had been alerted by the daughter of the deceased, who worried not to have the slightest news.
Traces of blood in the apartment
After the discovery of the body, an investigation for "intentional homicide" was entrusted to the Regional Service of the Judicial Police (SRPJ) of Rouen.
The criminal trail does not suffer the slightest doubt for the investigators because of elements found in the apartment, specifies France Bleu Normandie.
According to Paris Normandie, the body of the deceased man shows several traces of injuries and the apartment was in disorder, a possible sign of a fight between the victim and his attackers.
On site, investigators also took traces of blood.
An autopsy should reveal more about the circumstances of this crime.
