According to our information, investigators from the General Directorate of Internal Security arrested three new suspects on Tuesday morning

Three weeks after the heinous assassination of Samuel Paty, the investigation continues into the complicity from which his executioner, Abdoullakh Anzorov, could have benefited.

According to corroborating sources, three new suspects were arrested Tuesday morning in several places of the country by the police officers of the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) on rogatory commission of four anti-terrorism judges.

They are suspected of having exchanged virtually, especially on social networks, with the terrorist, who had been shot by the police after having beheaded a history teacher near his college in Conflans-Saint-Honorine (Yvelines) on October 16. .

The custody of these three new suspects ends this Friday morning.

They should be brought before the investigating magistrates with a view to possible indictment.

In this already voluminous file, seven people with very disparate profiles have already been indicted for "complicity in terrorist assassinations" or "criminal terrorist association".

The controversy and the fatal gear

First, there is Brahim Chnina, father of a student at the college where Samuel Paty taught.

This 48-year-old man had launched a controversy on social networks around a course on freedom of expression given by the professor in history and geography.

On the basis of false information provided by his daughter, he claimed that the victim had excluded Muslim students from his class in order to distribute caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad.

He called for his resignation by posting his identity on Facebook.

In this smear campaign, Brahim Chnina was assisted by a second indicted, Abelhakim Sefrioui.

This Islamist militant S had interfered in the controversy and had brought it a wide echo by turning in turn videos in which he affirmed that the Conflans affair revealed a climate of Islamophobia.

He had called for mobilization in front of the college.

The investigation reveals that Abdoullakh Anzorov, an 18-year-old Chechen radicalized for several months, appropriately used this local affair to satisfy his jihadist impulses.

Having heard about the videos of Brahim Chnina and Abdelhakim Sefrioui, he decided to travel between his home in Évreux (Eure) and the college in Conflans on October 16 to assassinate Samuel Paty.

Telephone exchanges and messages between the killer and Brahim Chnina were brought to light without any reference to a planned attack.

Indicted and imprisoned, both Chnina and Sefrioui claimed in police custody that they were unaware that their videos were going to be the cogs of a deadly gear.

College students and friends among the indicted

There are then two secondary school students from Conflans, students in 4th and 3rd year.

Indicted but placed under judicial control, these two teenagers, who collapsed in custody, admitted to having designated Samuel Paty to the terrorist at the exit of the classes for a remuneration.

Both spent part of the afternoon of the fateful October 16 waiting with the terrorist.

They told investigators that Abdullakh Anzorov had told them that he planned to film the teacher and force him to apologize to the Muslims.

Finally, there are three friends of Abdoullakh Anzorov from Évreux.

Two of them accompanied him the day before to a cutlery in Rouen (Seine-Maritime) to acquire one of the knives which will be found on him.

One drove the killer on the day of the incident from Évreux to the Paris region.

In police custody, these two friends admitted that they knew that Anzorov was radicalized but claim that they had not been informed of his planned attack.

The third friend had contact with the killer on the day of the incident and is suspected of having encouraged him.

The three suspects are imprisoned.
