Yes plus's internet TV service is celebrating a year, but service customers will find that in the last month a slightly less festive option has been added - payment for watching content from Rainbow and Network channels.
For example, in the "Singer in the Mask" or "Nevso" programs, you will pay NIS 6.90 for each episode via VOD for a 48-hour rental, while through a catch-up service that offers a week-long viewing, viewing is still free.
These are previous episodes of the series and not the last episode.
The payment option only exists through yes plus's Android TV streamer, when the company's customers who own Apple TV, can not pay for this content, even if they really want to (due to an Apple limitation and not yes).
It is important to note that yes has always charged a fee for the VOD library of Rainbow and Network in its satellite service (similar to Eager), but it does provide it for free on its discounted service Sting TV.
A bit of a weird move, because basically Sting TV is supposed to offer less perks and no more.
Also, both Cellcom TV and Partner TV offer the same free content on their TV services.

Want to watch "Rainbow" and "Network" content on VOD?

According to a senior industry source, "Internet-based television companies (OTTs) pay respectable sums of money for all the content they purchase from Network and Arc, while satellite and cable companies do not pay for the channels, but only for the VOD content, so they have an incentive to charge "Payment for watching VOD from their customers. This is an income that can reach tens of millions of shekels a year."
Yes stated in response: "The content in question is available for free viewing on the Catch Up service. Over a month ago, we opened Bite Plus the option for those who are interested in purchasing paid point content as well as satellite customers."
