"The Singer in the Mask" - Promo Episode Exposing the Pickle (Rainbow 12)

I'm not a proponent of conspiracy theories - I swear.

I do not think aliens visit the planet to kidnap farmers in remote towns and experiment with them, I believe the 5G network is just a faster internet infrastructure, that the US election was not decided by the voices of dead people and I even know for sure that Yitzhak Rabin was murdered on By Yigal Amir. Still, when the panel of judges of "The Singer in the Mask" fails to recognize Einat Shroff's voice under the pickle costume for more than half a season, even I begin to think of the Illuminati and Freemasons. How can it be that one of the sharpest interviewers on screen , The oldest theater director in the country, an updated pop star duo and one sturdy dawn, could not recognize the voice that every aunt with a hearing aid has already recognized from the first episode?

Should say the duo - Statboy and Ben, who insisted that Einat Shroff is the cucumber in the last two episodes Unfortunately, it falls under the category of 'too little and too late'. On the other hand - what fun is it to be Maya Wertheimer? Not only is she a busy and talented actress, married to a popular MK and one of the richest families in Israel, she also got exposure in prime time for weeks without even being Should go for costume measurements

A. Clumsy.

This is not a coincidence of course, watching a sequence of cucumber hints proves that the production of the show was entirely intended for Wertheimer's name to appear on the judges' table (the hint in which clothes with the zamir tag appeared was particularly prominent).

One can learn from this that performing in "Singer" is good and beautiful, but real celebs are the ones who get to be regular suspects without being photographed at the end in the costume of a falafel dish.

"The Singer in the Mask" (Rainbow screenshot 12)

The real story is of course Burned herself, who this week gave a not-so-good enough performance to Eurothmix's "Sweet Dreams" and was rightly removed from the show a few weeks before the finale.

More than "The Singer in the Mask" is a guessing game for every family, it is a program about redemption for its participants.

The exaggerated and grotesque costumes are the way the participants in the program try to get the love of the audience without the stigma that exists on them.

In the case of Shroff it is a difference between images of "the one who makes happy at events" and a vulgar woman, to a singer she thinks she is.

She will surely be happy to know that two of my favorite performances of the season belong to her ("Lonely" and "End of The World"), so at least I can say I was convinced she was a better singer than I thought.

Just a tip for next time, if you are already going for a funny food costume you will choose borax.

Contrary to the feelings I had at the end of the previous show, ones that made me fear that God forbid I had exhausted the current season of "Singer" and that someone would already give the title to the dragonfly and move on with our lives, Orna Banai's addition did only good for the judging panel.

In fact, the two episodes aired this week were the best since premiere week.

Banai did not turn out to be a panelist with a particularly successful ability to identify, in fact she said even more "it is not" on my part French but her constant cynicism evoked sympathy in me, and added a necessary self-humor to a reality that has been somewhat in love in recent weeks.

By the way, when I ran among myself names that could have suited a show for the show, Orna Banai's name was among the first to come up.

She is a good singer who has even performed many times with her brother (Eviatar) and there is no doubt that after years of demonstrations for important causes, she will be happy to be identified with something lighter.

Unfortunately, this week I received the proof that there is no chance that Orna is a builder under one of the costumes.

Panel "The Singer in the Mask" (Rainbow screenshot 12)

In the spirit of the end of the season approaching in huge strides, there are only a few questions that still bother me.

First - who will win?

Will it be the dragonfly (remember, I bet on Rinat Gabay) who gave another successful performance this week, this time to Ben Ei's classic "Stand By Me".

King and her victory could be a real Cinderella story;

Or maybe it will be the rough rooster at all, the one that the judges suspect is Yehuda Levy and we know he is actually Tzachi Halevi.

This week he gave a really great performance to Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" and rightly won wall-to-wall compliments on the show he brings to the stage.

Levy's victory could be a closing of a beautiful circle for those who broke into the reality show "The Voice";

In any case, I hope that this will be the stork who performed the hit "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and proved that she is the most diverse performer this season, although she is certainly not a professional singer.

By the way, I also belong to the Lucy Aharish camp and not to the Corinne Gideon camp, solely because of the tone of voice and the particular groviness she has, such that it seems that Gideon doesn't really have it.

The second question is of course when the hell will the finals take place?

There are only six costumes left in the competition: the ibex, falafel, dragonfly, dragon, rooster and stork, and because the identities of all the other contestants have already been revealed, there is no chance of dismantling a lifebuoy.

Also, we have no idea what, if any, the winner of the first season of "The Singer in the Mask" will win.

Will they be allowed to take the costume home as a souvenir or will they have to go on trial like in the military?

Einat Shroff, "The Singer in the Mask" (Rainbow Screenshot 12)

And a concluding remark: In a column published earlier this week in Israel today, it is written that the Israeli "Singer in the Mask" is destroying the successful international format and that unlike the American version that it flows and flows, the Israeli version is stretched more and more. This opinion is of course legitimate, but it is important to just remember that the American version of the show, available on yes VOD and originally broadcast on the FOX network, comes here as it is edited and devoid of the multiple commercial breaks that originally appeared on the show. In addition, the article claims that in the American version all performances are done live, unlike the recorded performances in Israel. So that way, even though some of the producers of the American show initially claimed that the performers were singing live under costumes, they were forced to admit later that the intention was that it was one live recording made before the broadcast, and the contestants do not get flattering effects but bring their natural abilities. In short, there are enough real reasons to criticize the plan, but the facts are important to be precise.
