It is a walk they will remember for a long time.
Three hikers, who left on Wednesday on an escapade with their dogs in the Luberon without taking into account the confinement, found themselves lost and had to be rescued, report the released Dauphiné and France 3.
A dozen gendarmes, warned around 5 p.m., then went looking for them.
“We were able to geolocate them using their mobile phones.
We were only a hundred meters from them, but the area was particularly steep and hilly, ”the gendarmes explained to France 3 Paca.

The soldiers then called the firefighters for reinforcement, who sent two men from the reconnaissance and intervention group in perilous environment (Grimp).
But night had already fallen and it was not enough.
It was finally the intervention of a civil security helicopter that freed the three reckless walkers.
The hikers boarded the helicopter and were dropped off around midnight in the village of Oppède, where they were expected by the gendarmes.
They were each fined € 135, which was not however increased because of the public holiday.
Containment less respected than that of spring
Many people in the streets, teleworking not respected… This confinement is, for many, much more flexible than that of spring.
60% of French people have even transgressed at least once this new confinement, according to a survey carried out by Ifop and published this Thursday.
