"The depositions of Isabelle and Jean-Pierre Fouillot (the parents, Editor's note), Stéphanie and Grégory Gay (Alexia's sister and her husband, Editor's note) will not take place until tomorrow", declared the president of the court of 'Assises de la Haute-Saône Matthieu Husson after a short break.

This postponement is the result of a significant delay in the announced schedule: at 5 p.m., three experts still had to be heard, Tuesday's hearing having been up to this stage devoted to that of a forensic pathologist, questioned at length on various aspects. technical file.

"It was unthinkable that the civil parties, with the impact and the weight that this entails, could be heard at seven o'clock, eight o'clock or nine o'clock in the evening", estimated their lawyer Me Gilles-Jean Portejoie.

"It was not possible, it was not reasonable," he added.

Details difficult to hear

Me Caty Richard, also adviser to certain members of the victim's family, is of the same opinion: "Everyone will be exhausted, it was a very dense, very technical day", with details difficult to hear.

Alexia's parents left the room for a moment when the cremation of the body was discussed.

Jonathann has blocked his ears several times.

We would not do that to an animal, ”Isabelle Fouillot, the young woman's mother, repeated Monday.

This hearing of the parents of the victim is all the more expected as they intend to hold Jonathann Daval to account.

It will therefore take place on Wednesday, the day when the accused must also be questioned at length.
