Non-stop innovation: Schindler Israel, the company for the production of elevators and escalators, recently finished working on advanced technology for moving and navigating the elevator without contact.

With the outbreak of the epidemic, studies have shown that the corona virus is able to survive for several hours to several days outside the body.
People infected with the virus spread it through a spray emitted from the respiratory system, and when they use an elevator they may leave some of the viruses emitted on the buttons.
In order to deal with the phenomenon, Schindler Israel developed the innovation.
The development is called - MY PORT Voice Indicator - and it uses the smartphone app as an alternative to physical contact in an elevator or via a personal access card.
All that is left is to get close to the elevator terminal so that you can identify the app and view the list of destinations.
In fact, the phone recognizes the same elevator unit (under control of targets) and then the entire button box operates through the smartphone, which completely eliminates the use of the elevator buttons and allows you to order the elevator before you reach it.
To support social distance the PORT system can require more space between passengers or delay the length of time the elevator doors remain open and allow air circulation at stops between the various stations.
According to the company, the best minds have been working in the company's laboratories in Switzerland for the past year on several technological developments for air cleaning and disinfection.
